Techniques and Types of Hair Transplant at BlueMagic Group

The thinning of hair is the result of heredity, underlying conditions, hormonal imbalances, or the aging process. The ultimate solution to this is undergoing hair transplant surgery. A hair transplant is a technique to overcome baldness and deliver natural-looking growing hair on the scalp.

The BlueMagic Group is dedicated to generating the same natural results for every individual. With the latest technology integration, they have a range of hair transplant techniques to overcome baldness. The techniques include DHI implantation, beard transplantation, micro FUE sapphire, Afro hair transplantation, and much more.

In this article, we shall list the two main types of hair transplant procedures and the techniques provided by the BlueMagic Group.

What is a Hair Transplant?

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure in which hair follicles are extracted from the “donor site” and placed on the “recipient site,” which is a bald or balding area. It is a minimally invasive technique, and genetically resistant hair follicles are transplanted to the bald scalp. This technique is also used to restore eyelashes, eyebrows, and beard hair.

What are the different types of hair transplants?

There are two types of hair transplant procedures.

  1. The extraction of a single hair and implantation to incisions made on the recipient area – called Follicular Hair Extraction (FUE)
  2. The extraction of a single hair and direct implantation to the recipient area – called Direct Hair Implantation (DHI)

Both hair transplant types result in the growth of natural hair.

The procedure of a Hair Transplant

Pre-operative assessment

This stage involves the analysis of an individual’s scalp, expectations, and health condition.

Operative stage

It starts with an injection of local anesthesia. The hair follicles are extracted from the donor region of the scalp and grafted into the recipient region.

Here, there are two ways – FUE vs. DHI:

  • FUE harvesting
  1. In the recipient region of the scalp, the surgeon cuts minuscule holes using a blade or needle. In these holes, they carefully insert hair.
  2. A surgeon might transplant hundreds or even thousands of hairs in a single therapy session.
  3. After that, your scalp will be covered for a few days by the graft, gauze, or bandages.
  • DHI harvesting
  1. In a DHI hair transplant, the surgeon will extract the grafts and load them onto the needle of the Choi Pen.
  2. These grafts will then be implanted in the recipient area directly at an appropriate angle, depth, and direction.
  3. The same process is followed to implant hair follicles one by one into the recipient area.

Post-operative care

Semi-permeable dressings, which permit seepage of blood and tissue fluid, are applied and changed at least once a day. Two days following surgery, shampooing can begin. The sun-vulnerable recipient area must be protected.

The day after surgery, some surgeons would have the patient shampoo. To stop scabs from forming around the hair shaft, shampooing is essential. The surgeons may also prescribe pain, antibiotics, and inflammatory medications to reduce swelling and the risk of infections.

Hair Transplant Techniques by BlueMagic Group

  1. DHI Implantation

This unique technology reduces the risk of damage to the hair follicles by reducing the time the follicle is left out of the scalp. The BlueMagic Group uses a Choi Pen, which allows smaller incisions. It allows complete control over the angle, direction, and depth of the follicle implantation.

  1. Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant

This technique uses a sapphire blade that reduces vibration during the incision. This keeps complications like trauma and tissue damage at bay. It allows you to grow with better density, and it also gives successful results.

  1. Afro Hair Transplant

Afro hair transplant is used for different characteristics of hair with fewer scars and less trauma. This is employed with DHI treatment, which allows precision and yields better results with dense and thicker hair.

  1. Manual Hair Transplantation

This technique is used when the extraction of follicles is from the chest, beard, arms, or leg region. It is performed with bare hands without the use of a robotic method. This results in less trauma to the scalp and less scarring.

Summing Up

Hair transplantation works wonders and gives a permanent alternative to baldness. Each procedure uses special techniques to minimize the chances of getting bald again. It can be employed for both- men and women.

In addition to all types of hair transplantations, BlueMagic Group employs special PRP therapy to strengthen the follicles and enhance their growth. With the integration of the latest technology, they use tools that create minimal incisions and yield better results.
